Goeland Paimpol on Friar's Point, 1935
On 17th September 1935 the Barque Goeland Paimpol was blown along the coast from Swansea and driven ashore at Friar's Point. The lifeboat Prince David rescued the crew of 6 and won medals from the RNLI. The Goeland was stripped of usable timber and burnt.
